Our general policy is to ensure that any child offered a place at Elmhurst will be able to fit happily into the school and be able to benefit from, and cope with, the challenging, broad curriculum we provide. We always look beyond the current ability of the boys and try to gauge their possible potential in our assessment process, which is conducted individually in all age groups except for the Reception class. An annual assessment day for prospective Reception pupils is held in early January. Here boys are seen in groups throughout a Saturday morning with parents present and with many exciting activities for them to explore.
