Outdoor Learning in Little Elms

Elmhurst School for Boys

Outdoor learning forms an important part of life in Little Elms.

Pupils benefit from weekly Forest School sessions in local woodland, with our trained Forest School Leader, Mrs Mawanda.

We also make regular use of our own outdoor area and the school grounds, to allow the boys to pursue their own interests and observe and explore their natural surroundings.

As well as building confidence and problem-solving abilities, and supporting physical development, dedicated outdoor learning experiences ensure that the boys remain enthused and engaged when they are back in the classroom, helping to improve concentration and enhance the skills pupils will need when they start school.
