Elmhurst School for Boys

12th December 2014

In Maths, the boys have been rounding off their learning this term on fractions and decimals, by working in pairs to produce posters.

Watch a video of some of the boys explaining the methods that they have become secure in:

Last Thursday, Year 5 enjoyed their Performance Poetry evening to parents. The boys performed individually and in groups and did a wonderful job of presenting their poems to a packed hall of proud parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters. One of the highlights was 5H’s rendition of “I am walking my iguana”.

Watch a video of Year 5H’s performance:

Finally, the results of the Year 5 Spelling Duel have now been decided. The surge by 5H was not enough to stop 5P winning the class spelling prize of a giant packet of Haribos. Spring term sees the start of the next class challenge...come on 5H!
