At Elmhurst we have an active and dynamic music and drama curriculum, including two choirs and an Orchestra. Opportunities to develop musical aptitude are many and varied; all boys are encouraged to sing and play the recorder to widen their musical interest and identify musical talent.
Senior Choir regularly perform outside school, including a range of fund raising performances for charity. These performances include Carol singing at the Whitgift Centre, local Old Peoples homes and this year our Senior Choir are performing in a Childrens Trust Concert at St Johns, Smith Square in London on Tuesday 30th November. The Elmhurst Recorder Consort perform annually in traditional costume, at the Weald and Downland Museum, Singleton.
Musical instrument tuition is available at a cost of £14.50 per 30 minutes individual lesson. These lessons are usually held in our Saturday morning Music School.
