Year 6 learn how to write Descriptive Essays

Elmhurst School for Boys

11th November 2016 | Key Stage 2

Year 6 have been writing descriptive essays in part of the preparation for their exams. This can take several formats but is currently about 'Someone who I admire.' It was very sweet of the boys who all look up to their mums and dads, which goes to show that whilst some are already growing into young teenagers, mum and dad are still closest to their hearts! The boys have been improving their work in class and this is an example from an edited piece by Joshua. We encourage all Year 6 parents to read what their sons have been writing about them!
