Year 6 Boys Showcase Entrepreneurial Skills at Life Lab Fair

Posted: 30th June 2023

In a display of entrepreneurial spirit, our Year 6 boys hosted a Life Lab fair. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the boys’ business acumen and raising funds for the Joshua Orphanage.

Visiting boys from Year 1 to 5 had the opportunity to choose from toasted waffles, ice creams, soft drinks and popcorn, prepared and sold by our budding young entrepreneurs.

The boys’ efforts in product development and marketing were evident, with each item aimed to entice customers. Exciting activities on offer included Nerf gun shooting and taste testing experiences.

We are grateful to have had the business expertise and inspiration of two Elmhurst parents, Mr Patel (Alexis’s dad) and Mr Stuart (Eli’s dad). Thanks too to our third judge, Mr Brook, who provided excellent insights into the boys’ performances and public speaking skills. Our ‘Dragons’ posed challenging questions, putting the boys’ critical thinking skills to the test. Year 6 rose to the occasion, displaying remarkable composure and quick thinking.

They exceeded expectations by not only recouping their initial £50 investment, provided by Marie Claire from Life Lab, but also generating impressive profits for our charity, the Joshua Orphanage. The winning team will be announced at an assembly on Monday 10th July.
