39th Elmhurst School Swimming Gala

On 17th May, Elmhurst's 39th Annual Swimming Gala was held at Trinity School.

90 boys were invited to attend from Years 3 to 6, with one Year 2 pupil, Charlie D, also taking part. The boys competed in individual events for all four swimming strokes, relays, and fun relays.

Some lucky boys even had the chance to swim in the Parent and Son Swimming Race. It was an exciting evening, with two records being broken, both by the same competitor, Rishan S, who broke the Year 4 backstroke record, setting a new time of 19.38. He also broke the Year 4 breaststroke record which had been standing for 33 years! Rishan went on to win overall Junior Champion, with Oscar H winning the title of Senior Champion. Squire House won the Swimming Gala overall, breaking Anderson's eight-year run.

Thanks again to all staff and parents, without whom the Elmhurst Swimming Gala really could not happen.
