Thank you so much to all of you from Croydon Refugee Centre!!
We never thought we would actually fill the minibus to the top but we did!!! Well done everyone and thank you for your generosity.. the staff at Croydon Refugee Centre were overwhelmed by the response! We estimated we had at least 300 tins, 60 tubes of toothpaste, 30 pairs of jeans among countless other items! This is such a worthy cause and such an important lesson for all of us.
Thank you to Louis, Jake and Mrs Atkinson who collected the items in the morning in the minibus. And thank you to the Year 6 boys (Neel- the journalist, Nikhil, Abhiram-the photographer, Lucas, Kaavin-the map-reader, Sidharth ) and Mrs Lloyd who were so helpful delivering the items. They managed to organise themselves to sort all the items in 30 minutes. What superstars! And remember Mr Hall’s (one of the co-ordinators at CRC) wise words.. a friendly smile goes a long way. Please read the letter from Croydon Refugee Centre.
