On Tuesday 12 November the whole school celebrated Africa Day, with a wide range of themed activities taking place across all year groups, including a fantastic African drumming and dance performance by Year 5.

“I liked putting on the African costumes. Some were lions and tigers.”- RúShayne
“I liked when I did the drumming.”- Joshua
“I liked watching the drums because we got to dance.”- Nathan
“I liked painting the African masks.”- Maadhesh
“I liked dressing up like a lion because I liked roaring… ROAR!”- Mikaeel
“My favourite part was my granddad colouring my elephant mask because I liked it.”- William
“It was when we dressed up because we were all wearing nice clothes.”- Ayan
“I liked wearing my mask. I learned about Africa.”- Cyrus
“My favourite part of Africa Day is when they took the picture of us in our African clothes.” –Rishi

Rahul in 2D reflects on his experience of Africa Day:
“Africa day was the Tuesday 12th of November, it was extremely exciting! On Africa day a massive amount of people were dressed in African costumes and clothes. We learnt a lot on Africa day and saw lots of African things. We learnt about amazing African costumes.” - Rahul
