27th February 2012
Elmhurst School for Boys were delighted to take part in this year’s Surrey Schools’ Concert for The Children’s Trust on Sunday 26th February. Four Surrey schools took to the stage to raise money for Tadworth-based charity The Children’s Trust, which provides help for brain-damaged children.
Elmhurst fielded two groups: the recorder ensemble which played Tudor pieces, and the senior choir, conducted by Elmhurst Principal Henry Wickham, which performed songs by John Rutter and from Me and My Girl!
Henry Wickham is very pleased to be involved in supporting The Trust: as well as acting as musical director for the Surrey Schools’ Concert, he also organises and presents the Trust’s London Schools’ Concert at St Johns’ Smith Square each
year.
“All the children performed superbly” commented Mr Wickham. “It was a wonderful way to support such a worthwhile cause.”
