14th October 2016 | Key Stage 2
In Art Club we looked at the artist, Mark Jenkins. Jenkins is widely known for his sculptural street installations. Jenkins' uses the "street as a stage" and passers-by often unknowingly become actors in his installations.
In Art Club we made sculptures of our legs using sticky tape. It was so much fun! First, we wrapped sticky tape around our legs sticky side up and then we wrapped sticky tape around our legs sticky side down. We made sure we didn’t wrap our legs up too tightly. Next, we had to cut out legs out of the tape and stick the leg back together!
This activity taught the boys all about the human form, being safe with materials and about being a living artist.

It is a really easy and fun activity - have a go at home!
