20th May 2016 | Forest School
What a wonderful day we had at Pinewood on Saturday. Kayaking, storytelling, archery, mud play and watching a live chicken becoming lunch! Elmhurst put on a treasure hunt and must have showed people around it at least 30 times. The boys also taught nearly 150 people how to whittle magic wands and light sabres. Thank you so much to all the boys and their families who came as Forest School Ambassadors. I was very proud of you!
We were the only school represented and you did a wonderful job explaining and showing everyone how wonderful Forest School is. The treasure hunt was very popular and Yipeng has to be commended for ensuring that it was not too easy (rehiding the treasure so no-one could find it) as well as his amazing PR skills! Miss Kasza-Martin dazzled all with her creative and inspiring hazel and wool sculptures. Thanks also to the amazing Mrs Lloyd for her continued enthusiasm with the army of whittlers.
