9th October 2015 | Early Years
Pupils, staff and parents at Elmhurst School, recently celebrated the official opening of Little Elms Nursery.
The new nursery opened its doors to its first pupils this September and extends the schools Early Years provision to boys aged 3-4 years.
Pupils in Little Elms Nursery enjoy an exciting curriculum, allowing them to learn and develop at their own pace, with plenty of opportunity for discovery through play and outdoor learning.
Elmhurst is the only school in Croydon to offer a Forest School project for the whole of Primary Years and boys attending Little Elms can enjoy weekly Forest School sessions in local woodland.
Guests at the event enjoyed refreshments and listened to songs performed by pupils from Nursery to Year 2, before the ribbon was cut on the new purpose-built nursery building.
Mr South, Headmaster, said: “We are delighted to officially mark the opening of our new nursery. Little Elms has proved to be a wonderful extension to the Elmhurst family and it’s a delight to watch our youngest boys enjoying their time with us, at the start of their school lives. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the grand opening of Little Elms and helped to make it such a special occasion.”
