8th May 2014
On Thursday 1st and Tuesday 6th May, over 60 different entries for the House Music Competition were heard, in what has turned out to be a record breaking year.
A wide array of instruments were played including piano, violin, cello, trumpet, guitar, clarinet, recorder and bassoon. The music teachers of Elmhurst were also joined by professional bassoonist Andrew Watson in hearing competition entries.
This is the third annual competition to have taken place and each year has seen an increase in the number of applications. The wide variety of instruments was matched by an incredible level of enthusiasm for music, by all of the boys involved.
The results are to be announced to the boys in the coming week, with a number of special commendations being included in the overall house point tally that each boy contributes to with their performances.
Well done to everyone who took part.
