In Year 2 we are learning about Habitats

Elmhurst School for Boys

1st October 2015 | Key Stage 1

In Year 2 Science we are learning about Habitats. We decided to build a bug hotel to help us learn about mini beast habitats. The boys really enjoyed the project and we keep going back to the bug hotel to see if it has encouraged any new mini beasts. We investigated questions such as what mini beats need to survive, what kind of habitats mini beasts like to live in and we identified the different mini beasts present - we saw slugs, ants, a ladybird and lots of spiders weds. This project has definitely promoted a love of learning.’
