10th November 2017 | Key Stage 2
On Thursday 19th October, fifteen of our Key Stage 2 boys had the opportunity to attend the Autumn Collection concert at Whitgift. It was impressive to sit in the main hall and see an eclectic mix of ensembles and repertoire from singers, brass players, orchestras and military drummers. “It was inspiring to see how they used the dustbins in the Trash Can-certo because they made different sounds by playing them in different ways” said Ishaan from Year 4. Many of the boys loved the large-scale arrangements of popular hits, such as Pharell Williams’ Happy.
All of the boys came away enthused and eager to take part in more group music-making at Elmhurst: we all look forward to hearing that in the future.
