Elmhurst’s Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs) have enjoyed exploring the local area on their self-initiated ‘lunchtime walks’.
Each Monday, two JRSOs and two infant pupils spend thirty minutes of their playtime walking around the local area, accompanied by Miss Prior and discussing things that they see, such as the train station, the footbridge and the small maps found around the town. The boys have been particularly excited by the electric car charger in South Croydon train station’s car park.
The JRSOs are really enjoying this activity and say that it is well worth missing playtime for!
