At the end of the first term of their final year at Elmhurst, Year 6 have been reflecting on what they think is great about being at the top of the school.
“In Year 6 you get lots of badges like prefect, buddies and sports. We go to lots of trips like PGL and France. We get to do a business project which is making your own games.” Rahul N
“I love Year 6 because you have so many responsibilities such as being a prefect. My job is PE prefect so I have to help clean out the PE shed and help in PE and that is a challenge for me.” Joshua B
“More responsibilities come in Year 6 with our prefect duties which for me is House vice-captain which is great (we get a prefect tie too!). We also have buddies (boys from Reception that are allocated for you to look after) which are absolutely great because they are really playful and funny.” Alexander B
“There is major fun in Year 6. I have the honour to be a prefect, I also have the opportunity of having a buddy. Whilst having all these lovely responsibilities, I have received many badges. There is still more fun things in Year 6 yet to come, like going on trips.” Shailen P
“I love being at the top of the school. I joined Elmhurst in Reception and have developed since then. As we are the oldest year we get the privilege of having a locker room and we do not have to wear caps. Some boys also get to be captains as they are very responsible.” Raul U
“The responsibilities that come with being in Year 6 are amazing. At Elmhurst there are plenty of sports to compete in and to represent Elmhurst in, as well as your house: swimming, tennis, hockey, rugby, football and water polo, with other sports to choose from.” Taran R-P
