Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed performing their Christmas plays this week, with a dress rehearsal for their fellow Elmhurst pupils on Wednesday, followed by two performances to their families.
Class 1P wrote about how they felt when they performed Ralph the Reindeer with Reception:
"When I saw all the faces I felt nervous a little bit. At the end I was brave. I thought on the stage when we did 1,2,3 lift off, it was cool." Morgan A
"I was happy because everyone was watching me." Aral O

"I yawned when I heard the soft music because I was sleepy." Lucas C
"I liked Solomon’s performance because he was doing good singing." Nate O
"The play was fantastic. I saw Louis. I liked the angels in the Year 2 play." Joshua C
"I was feeling scared because there was so much people. The best bit was when Solomon sang his song." Ryan P
"I was nervous and when we went on I felt brave and I felt brilliant and I loved my lines." Chukwuemeka O
"I felt great because I just felt great. I felt amazing. I felt wonderful because I remembered my lines. I was scared because people were watching me. I loved it." Solomon M
"I liked it when all the eight reindeer lifted off." Samanyu S
"When I did my lines I felt great because I felt happy. I liked the Year 2 play. I liked the first song." Kartik N

22 Excited Elves from Reception
9 Reliable Reindeers from Year 1
1 Ralph called Solomon
1 Rudolph called Lucas
1 Very happy Santa called Chukwuemeka
Part 2: Cock-a-Doodle Christmas by Year 2
Ingredients:
Lots of Lovely Christmas-Jumpered Narrators
1 Sheep + 3 frolicking lambs
3 Very pink pigs
1 Extremely noisy cockerel called Shaan
2 Chicks
1 Very elegant cow + 2 Calves
Some very clever angel shadow puppets
Father Christmas Dawson in disguise
Mary, Joseph and Jesus
Method:
Sing beautifully and mix with a few amazing actions and disco moves
Add lots of fun and some super staff
Keep pulling up those elf tights, adjusting the antlers and adding more pink to those pigs
Ask Solomon to sing a solo
Decorate with Christmas
