Thank you all so much for all of your cards and gifts. I have never had so many compliments and good wishes in my life and I truly appreciate every single one. When you do a job for as long as I have, a job that you love, you only hope that you have done it to the best of your ability. I was never top of the class, but I was inspired by one teacher in particular; my History teacher. She was an inspiration and opened my eyes to a lifelong interest in History. I don't claim to be anything like her, but would like to think that I have helped in some small way to give one or two boys a start on their learning path. I have always believed, whatever your interests or ability, always do your best and reach for the stars. I will always have a special place in my heart for Elmhurst; all the boys past and present, parents and my colleagues who I am proud to call friends. This, as you can see, is a very emotional time; a day mixed with sadness at leaving, but excitement as to the next chapter in my life. I hope, like me, you will remember the good times we have had together and invite me back in the future to share more of those Elmhurst moments.
Thank you all so much.
