Music…Recorder Group at Singleton

Elmhurst School for Boys

28th June 2013

Singleton

The omens were good upon arriving: Mrs Gascoigne and Miss Cole were in good moods, the weather was fine, everyone arrived with their stands and all seemed to be well, until…........

Mother Nature’s changeable wrath was experienced. Well, I am not sure about you, but putting your foot on a stand, holding a folder with one hand trying to play a recorder at the same time is more difficult than rubbing your stomach and patting your head. As a result, folders were soon flying and fingers felt as if affected by frost bite!

Soon, we came to a more sheltered site and finally- playing in comfort!

Mrs. Gascoigne kindly bought us hot chocolate and ice cream at our choice… I mean what a contrast!
