On 2nd June, a team of boys from Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in the ISA London South Athletics Championships.
Read a report from Mickel in Year 5, about the day:
On Tuesday 2nd May, five boys from Years 4, 5 & 6 went to take part in an ISA Athletics event at Normand park in Bromley.
The event started off with the Year 4 600m. The boys did extremely well and finished well. The event then carried on with the Year 5 & 6 600m. The boys who took part in the 600m were Maliq, Hari, Joel P and Jojo. Joel did very well and came first in his heat but unfortunately missed out on going to the nationals by three places.
Moving on to the high jump and Damola was like a spring, coming second overall. In the cricket ball throw, Mickel threw extremely well, coming 2nd overall.
After having lunch we went on to the sprints. First was Year 4 and Joseph who made it into the final, but came 4th. Then moving on to the Year 5 sprints, Maliq and Asher did well going into the finals, but not getting a medal. Overall the boys had a great time and all came back with happy faces.
