Some Year 5 and Year 6 boys carried out their own Science experiments during open day. They found the experiments independently and set them up, demonstrating them to parents and perspective new boys. In year 6 Sidharth had a plasma ball, Neo and Levi built spaghetti structures and Azeem and Michael demonstrated a lemon and tomato battery respectively. In year 5 Akbar made mayonnaise as an example of a colloid, Oscar attempted to build a Doritos volcano, Rohan made mini submarines, Ethan a cloud in a bottle, Krishna a ‘Rocket Mouse’, Joshua demonstrated how sound travels using a coat hanger, Eyliyo used the ramps and his Lego car to talk about friction and Oliver produced carbon dioxide with lemon juice and vinegar.
