The boys have certainly hit the ground running with their sporting representation, this term. Already the U11, U10 and U9 football teams have represented the school with practice matches.
The U10 A and B teams played Royal Russell where both teams lost narrowly which bodes well for the future. The U9 As, Bs, and Cs also played very strong Royal Russell sides the following week, where the C Team managed to secure a very credible 1-1 draw. All boys except two represented the teams within these age groups, which is fantastic.
The following week, Elmhurst’s U11 A and B teams were in action with a warm up game against Fairchild’s School. Both teams played very well with the A team winning 2-1 and the B team losing by the same score. The boys are working very hard to adapt to a new winning formula with their patterns of play for the future. Well done to all.
As well as the school matches, we have already had our first week of House Football matches which has involved all the boys throughout the school. This year, all houses have been split into A and B team games, where every point counts. All points will be eventually totalled to find the overall Champion House.
The results of our first week of House Football are below:
3 points for a win, 2 points for score draw, 1 point for no score draw
Years 3 and 4 (A and B):
Peachel A v Scott A Result 5-1
Squire A v Anderson A Result 6-1
Peachel B v Scott B Result 3-4
Squire B v Anderson B Result 0-0
Years 5 and 6 (A and B):
Peachel A v Scott A Result 1-4
Squire A v Anderson A Result 1-0
Peachel B v Scott B Result 4-5
Squire B v Anderson B Result 4-3
Well done to all teams.
