Success for swimmers in Croydon Schools qualifying gala

On Tuesday 27th January, 18 boys from Years 3 to 6 went to South Norwood Pool to compete in the qualifying gala for Croydon Schools Swimming Association.

There are four qualifying galas, where times are recorded for all strokes and relays. The fastest six times across all four galas then compete in the finals, which are held at Trinity School on the evening of Thursday 12th March.

The gala has a lot of events and takes a very long time as there a lot of heats. Waiting on poolside for your race to start takes a lot of patience!

All the Elmhurst boys swam their hardest and I am pleased to say that not only were we the Best Boys Team, but also the Best Team, beating all of the girls' teams too! We now need to wait to hear if any boys have been selected for the finals.
