Summer Term at Forest School

Our pupils have had a wonderful term at Forest School and have focused particularly on developing their campfire cooking skills, with toffee apples, calzone pizzas and cinnamon buns.

A highlight in Year 2 was foraging and making dandelion and nettle tea, with a squeeze of fresh orange for good measure - delicious!

Mrs Mawanda and Mrs Lloyd have been working on spreading the word about Forest School across Croydon and are looking forward to inviting 55 Early Years Practitioners to a free workshop in Littleheath Woods, next week. Some of our excellent Elmhurst Forest School Ambassadors (parents and boys) will be attending from Year 1 and Year 2 to share their thoughts at the event and Year 2 were the stars of a special promotional film for State Schools in the area:

We are as always very keen to gather feedback and would encourage all pupils to complete our short questionnaire over the holidays, so we can make Forest School even better. Click here to complete the questionnaire.
