On Tuesday 3rd June, Years 1 and 2 were delighted to visit Old Palace and take part in a cross country race. The boys were very excited about travelling on the Old Palace minibuses to get there and were looking forward to running through the school's grounds and racing against the girls!
The race started on an enormous hill which the boys had to run up before returning down the other side and round a big field. The course was 800 metres long, so it was a very exhausting run.
Year 1 winners were Freddie, Solomon, Aral and Ryan.
In Year 2 the top places went to Monty, Shravan, Aayan and Eshun.
Everyone did really well to complete the mammoth route.
After the long run the children enjoyed some juice and homemade flapjack made by the girls at Old Palace.
Thank you to Mrs Coster (Lucas's Mummy) for organising this thrilling event.
