6th July 2018 | Key Stage 1
Year 1 recently built The Great Wall of China inspired by the work of two of the artists that they had seen - Kader Attia and Susan Rothenberg - Year 1 incorporated the ideas into their Topic and Art lessons, focused on Asia.
The boys' work was shared with the Tate Modern and they were delighted to receive the following response from the gallery:
Thank you for forwarding and sharing your pupils' artworks with us at Tate after your recent visit.
It is nice to see a creative group of young artists and that Art is a valued subject of the curriculum.
I hope you will return to Tate in the near future, as our displays programme develops.
