Year 1 Celebrate Chinese New Year

In Year 1, as part of their intergrated curriculum, the boys have been learning all about China and have been reading a really interesting book called 'Li's Chinese New Year' written by Fang Wang. To help bring their learning to life, our amazing Year 1 team organised a Chinese New Year workshop, which was divided into two sections. The first section was dance, where the boys learned the moves to the famous fan dance and the dragons head dance whilst working together as super collaborators. The second section of the workshop was art, and the boys learned how to produce Chinese plate paintings using acrylic paints; the final outcomes are absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful experience for everyone in Year 1!
