4th March 2016 | Forest School
Year 2 enjoyed the beautiful sunshine in the Woods last week. At school they have been investigating Forces in Science and had endless opportunities to use and apply their knowledge in the woods.
They were using various methods to push and pull logs from one point to another. The initial challenge was not to use your hands so the boys worked together to pull the logs using ropes and push using other sticks as levers. The boys then had time to investigate and explore the woods freely and one group developed a pulley system to trap minbeasts, Bhumit built the most amazing tent all by himself, lots of potions were made in the mud kitchen and a group of boys made there own tools to dig up dinosaur eggs! We all finished off with hot chocolate!
