21st March 2016 | Forest School
Year 2 have been studying Earth Art and as part of our Forest School Adventure this week, they made some fantastic Mandalas using natural materials. Mandala is a sanskrit word. It means circle or spirit. In Indian religions it represents the universe. Some wonderful examples can be seen in Tibet but have a look at the even more wonderful examples Year 2 made in Littleheath Woods, Croydon!
Apart from these wonderful creations we also went tracking and trailing through the Woods and used our senses to find each other. Some great arrows were made out of charcoal, leaves, mud and sticks.
