Year 2 learn about Materials

Elmhurst School for Boys

15th February 2016 | Key Stage 1

Year 2 have been looking at Materials in Science this term. We have been looking at how appropriate materials are for their specific use and experimenting with different materials to test their strength, durability and function.

This week we made our own tents. We considered which material would be best in terms of keeping us dry, warm and being sturdy enough to keep its shape.

We had great fun!
