Year 3 Autumn Harvest at Forest School

Elmhurst School for Boys

11th November 2016 | Forest School

Year 3 have made the most of the Autumn harvest at Forest School by collecting different types of seeds mainly sweet chestnuts and acorns. We have played games to investigate seed dispersal using the wind, water, animals and humans.  The Autumn colours have really been dazzling in Littleheath Woods this year we have been making the most of them..  making leaf pictures, leaf rainbows, catching leaves, throwing leaves and using them to explore photosynthesis, soils and the life of a tree. In our 'go with the flow' free-time we have used the bow-saw to cut wood and lit the Kelly kettle to make some yummy hot chocolate.
