Year 3 enjoy Forest School

Elmhurst School for Boys

17th November 2014

Read about Year 3's recent activities in Science and Music:

Science
At Forest School the boys in Year 3 having been looking at autumn leaves and thinking about how soil is formed. They have been challenged to find as many different leaves as they can.

Last week we arranged the leaves in a colour wheel to show the changes that are occurring. The boys have also used sticky clay to build sculptures on trees and our shelters have been useful in the rain!

The boys will be asked to complete their Forest School Diary each week. These should be returned to school by Monday morning of the following week.

Music
The boys have already brought home their new recorders, which will need to be named. They will also bring home a carol book, which may need to be re-covered with festive paper. They are working hard to learn their songs for the end of term.
