Year 3 experiment with shadow puppets

Elmhurst School for Boys

22nd September 2017 | Key Stage 2

In Science, Year 3 have enjoyed learning about light and shadows.

Last week, the boys made their own shadow puppets and in groups, retold a story that they had been learning about in English. Opportunities were created for each boy to experiment with the way in which the shadow may get bigger (moving closer to the light source) or smaller (moving further away from the source of light).

The boys thoroughly enjoyed leading their own learning through experiment and play. A lesson enjoyed by all involved!
