Year 3 Learn about Algorithms

The Computer Science element of the new curriculum will see children solving problems, creating algorithms, testing and debugging programs and much more. Some will create their own games.Last week, all of the children in Year 3 wrote an algorithm to make a jam sandwich.

The children worked in groups to write an algorithm (sequence of instructions), using a word-bank to help them if they needed it. Once complete, they then gave their instructions to pretend robot...the results were rather entertaining....as you can see from the video....
