This week, we have had an exciting time, learning about how volcanoes erupt. Year 3 are completing their studies of rocks and fossils. I have enjoyed reading the boys dinosaur homework.
Next term, we will be moving on to thinking about the properties of different types of soil, how soil is formed, and about plants. Forest School will provide lots of opportunities to explore soil and plants in a woodland environment.
At home, it would be useful if the boys could continue to look at rocks and soils in different locations, maybe the garden, park or somewhere that they visit during the holidays. Here are just a few useful websites:
