Year 3 visit Crofton Roman Villa

Elmhurst School for Boys

10th June 2016 | Key Stage 2

Year 3 were enthralled by the Roman Villa at Crofton, Orpington, which they visited on 8th June. The boys were introduced to the villa by one of the archaeologists who excavated the site in 1988. They were then able to participate in a variety of activities including making a mosaic pattern, brass rubbing, dressing up and learning about life in the Roman household. Back at school, they wrote their own information leaflets for children who will be visiting the villa. Click here to read the information leaflet written by Atalik.
