It was a night of jealous Oberons, proud Titanias and pesky Pucks! Yes, it was the Year 6 performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Littleheath Woods and what a performance! The woods gave our play a magnificent backdrop and there was a real magical quality to the proceedings. The boys have done a simply marvellous job, not only in their remembering of some very challenging lines, but also in their portrayals of their characters. There was tender love, tempestuous rows and immense comical stupidity in abundance. It was a fantastic and unique evening -one to live long in the memories of those who were lucky enough to be a part of it. The bar has been set and it may be some time before we see another school play quite like this one! Thank you to all the boys and the staff that made this happen. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all the Year 6 leavers all the very best in their new schools. We will miss you, dearly.
