17th November 2014
As a continuation from last year’s African Drumming and Dance workshops, Elmhurst welcomed MED Music Services to the school on 4th November to lead a special day of Samba workshops.
Boys from Years 3-6 learned a variety of Samba rhythms and developed their performance skills on a wide array of specialist Samba instruments.
This workshop is part of an ongoing commitment to developing multi-cultural approaches to music education at Elmhurst and allows the pupils to specialise in World Music performance with a specialist instructor for the day.
Elmhurst School now has one music workshop day per term, focused on giving our pupils access to various kinds of World Music.
