A very Happy New Year to you all.

I find it very interesting to read some of the media coverage that touches upon subjects close to most of our hearts, for a lot of us, parenting and education. 

My eye was caught by an article in this weekend's Daily Telegraph with, as it says above, a ten-point plan. What also interested me was that the author was a Primary School Head.

Many of the points included in the article make sense and I would support.  It highlighted two questions for me; firstly should Headmasters or teachers, no matter how well intentioned, give advice on parenting? Secondly almost all the points covered in the article require time, something there is always a shortage of for so many of us.  I know I have highlighted this in the past, if only we had more time.  I constantly look at my children, the youngest of whom is nearly 18 and wonder "where has that time gone?"
