Elmhurst Olympic Year Continues!

London 2012 has been a fantastic experience for all the boys at Elmhurst.

Having been awarded an official accreditation as an Olympic 2012 School, Elmhurst had several events including visits from Olympic athletes, a trip to the Olympic Hockey and culminating (we thought!) in a group of boys from Elmhurst joining the Olympic Parade in the Mall.

But to add to the boys experiences we had a visit from the British Discus Thrower, Laurence Okoya.  Laurence not only spoke in the school assembly, he awarded several prizes to boys throughout the school.  During the question and answer session Laurence was asked how he grew so tall?  “Eating my greens!” was his reply!

Our thanks go to Laurence for taking time out of his busy training schedule to come and visit the boys at Elmhurst, happy 21st Birthday for the 5th October and good luck in Rio 2016!
