9th October 2020 | Little Elms
The boys in Little Elms have settled so well this half term. We have been looking at our topic 'all about me', and the boys were able to share all kinds of wonderful information about themselves and their homelife. It was such a shame being unable to see the boys at home, but something wonderful about the coronavirus being about, is that we have extended our use of video conferencing and so we were able to meet the boys before we started! This has continued to workshops this term on phonics and parents evenings.
We have also started to change the way we develop phonics in Little Elms, and the boys have now been writing at these times too. The independence and ability to learn in a fun way really has seen our boys fly in their writing and fine motor development.
We have also been looking at different artists as a way of developing our creative and critical thinking. The boys used everything from oil pastels to glue guns (with support) to create their beautiful art, we certainly have some picasso's in our class!
We are so proud and continue to be blown away by the boys willingness, enthusiasm and kindness and we can not wait to see what the next term brings.
