The boys have had a very busy couple of weeks with their work on harvest and their topic of All About Me.
They have loved learning the story of The Little Red Hen and joining in with the repetitive text and actions, we listened to the way that Pie Corbet told the story then made up our own actions and story map for our version of the story. In Expressive Art and Design we made our own Little Red Hens and worked on our scissor cutting skills. We thought about harvest and gathering food and helping others and attended the Harvest assembly in school. The most memorable bit was making our own bread, just like the Little Red Hen, but we shared it out amongst ourselves.
We have had fun exploring our senses too, from kneading dough, going on sight and sound walks, tasting different flavours, sniffing different odours and the feely bag, when we had to describe what we felt.
