10th June 2016 | Early Years
Well, I cannot believe we are in our final last few weeks of this school year and that all my Little Elms will be moving on to Reception next year. As I reflect back at all the fun we have had, I can understand how the year has passed so quickly. But, at the same time I wonder where it has gone. I think of those lovely timid little boys that entered our new pre-school and now see confident independent learners, who are ready for their next educational challenge.
For the remainder of the term we will be exploring Nature. This week we are spouting beans. The boys have placed two beans in a zip lock bag with a sponge and some water. We have them hanging centre stage so the boys can observe and document their growth. We also went on a Mini-Beast hunt. First the boys made and decorated some binoculars. We then looked at different insects on the computer and finally went on our hunt. We were very lucky and spotted about 10 different insects. Happy hunters all around.
Next week the boys are growing grass mini me’s of themselves. The photos should be hysterical!! I have included a few photos of the boys playing independently.
Click here to view the photos. Hope you enjoy them.
