Last Sunday saw the anniversary of Winston Churchill’s death in 1965.
We reflected on Churchill’s life in assembly this week and it was very reassuring to see how much the boys knew about his life and exploits.
His life could almost be from the pages of “Boys Own”.
A politician, a painter, a journalist, a world leader, a Nobel Prize winner and someone who like all of us made mistakes.
He was a prolific writer and there was a line from a prayer he wrote that resonate to this very day and are as relevant to our boys now as they were when they were written.
“Never, never, never, never give up”
