13th November 2015 | Little Elms Blog

Little Elms is well into the swing of things in the second half of this term. Our topic for this half term is Celebrations. In the first week we celebrated Bonfire Night by creating firework pictures and making edible Sparklers. I’m not sure who enjoyed eating them more, Year 6 or Mr South.

Our second week has been devoted to Diwali. We have been reading the story of Rama and Sita and acting out the story with masks and brightly coloured scarfs.  We have also made some Divas out of salt dough. We are painting them in bright colours and then decorating them with sequins glitter and gems.

On the 26th November we are hosting a Thanksgiving Lunch for the whole school, thanks to the Lunch Ladies for agreeing to cook a Roast Dinner! The Little Elms will be busy making decorations for the hall to make it a truly festive occasion.
