I cannot believe how quickly this term as flown by! What fun and adventures we have had together. Back in January we started our adventure by exploring the World Around Us. We started in Space and ended up in Antarctica. The Little Elms enjoyed immersing themselves in all the different activities and by providing a mixture of activities, there is always something for everyone.
After half term we began our new topic, People in our Community. So far we have looked at the jobs and responsibilities of Shopkeepers, Police and Firemen. Next week we are talking about teachers and our role play area will change to a classroom. This should provide some insightful communications on how the boys see Miss Payne and myself!
This term, I have also changed some old habits in teaching and really challenged myself to provide more inspiring activities. Our four independent challenges have been a huge success. The pride in the boys’ faces after completing all four skill-based challenges is well worth the extra time to create them.
For our last week of term we will be having a week of Easter fun. I hope you all enjoy the school holidays and lets pray for Spring and good weather for the Summer Term!
