I was delighted the other day when one of the boys showed me a copy of the school magazine from 1986, that he had found in the school library.
It is amazing how similar some things are thirty years on - boys' aspirations included being a footballer, an astronaut and even a pirate!
Mr Kent and I were amused to read answers to the question: “What is it like to be grown-up?”
We had ideas such as:
“Grown-ups are tall people who are hairy sometimes. They have false teeth like my Nanny!” or...
“My mummy doesn’t work at all, she stays at home and does the spring-cleaning” or my favourite...
“Old people have loose skin and they are poor!”
If you would like to know how this compares with our current boys, please speak to Mr Kent and I'm sure he will be delighted to enlighten you!
