This week, Reception learnt about the 80th anniversary of VE Day. Some of the class chose to make medals and flags and they made the staff very proud by being able to observe the 2 minute silence at 12 noon. We thought we might try and do 1 minute but we watched the live BBC broadcast and when Big Ben struck the hour the children were so absorbed in what was going on they managed to do the full 2 minutes.
